Cardinal Rigali and Bishop Rhoades give their support of Christopher West...

As the controversy over Christopher West's presentation of the Theology of the Body continues, two bishops have publicly given their support of West's method of evangelization. Cardinal Justin Rigali of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Diocese of Harrisburg wrote in their letter of support that, "Christopher West...has been given a particular charism to carry out this mission" of making John Paul II's Theology of the Body, "more accessible" to the "average person."

In the end, the two bishops stated their, "full confidence in Christopher" and that the TOB Institute and Christopher "work with our episcopal blessing."

While many people persist in their stance that Christopher West is doing more harm than good, these two prominent bishops believe that West is working for the greater glory of God and that his apostolate in invaluable to the Church.
