This past weekend I saw the movie "The Blindside" with Sandra Bullock. At first I didn't know what to think of the movie, but by the end of it I was ready to name this movie one of the most inspirational and all around "good" movies I have ever seen. Here is the movie description from PositiveMedia:"The Blind Side" depicts the remarkable true story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, who is taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do Southern family who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher's presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle.
The real life struggles of Michael Oher come across the movie screen extremely powerful and moving. Also, Sandra Bullock does an excellent acting job and is one of her best films. Not only that, but there is hardly anything objectionable. Besides a few crass lines and some foul language, "The Blindside" does not disappoint. I encourage everyone to see this movie. It is one of those rare movies that is highly entertaining, very well done and touches your heart.
